Mansfield District Council operates a 24/7 monitored CCTV system, which keeps Mansfield Town and surrounding areas safe and allows for investigations of serious incidents and the prosecution of offenders. This system also works to identify vulnerable people (such as missing persons).

|Town Centre Operations is responsible for setting up and dismantling the market stalls which operates from Tuesday to Saturday every week with a variety of specialists markets operating throughout the year|
|Town Centre Operations manages and maintains 24 car parks across the district including collecting cash, responding to customer issues, minor breakdowns. We also operate a Shopmobility scheme hiring out mobility scooters|
Town Centre operations run two public toilets in the town centre Four Seasons Shopping Centre and Old Town Hall. The staff are responsible for cleaning, checking, minor maintenance, responding to customer complaints and replenishing sundries.

For £30 a year we provide an all-year-round collection service for the collection of garden waste.
For a charge, we will collect a range of items from the front of your property. Such items include furniture, domestic appliances, bagged household rubbish and large items that cannot fit into your bin (sofas for example).
These items will be charged at £10.00 for per item; however we will only charge £20.00 for the first 3 items.
Each additional item thereafter would be £10 per item.
Our trade waste and recycling service offers a variety of container sizes to remove business’ waste. We provide this service for a variety of businesses including shops, offices, industrial units and large factories.

The commercial portfolio produces in excess of £4.5M per annum from a balanced property portfolio that includes assets both within and outside the district with an objective to ensure that income is maximised and the investments are secure.
As part of its Transformation Agenda the council has a new 4 year £55M programme of asset acquisitions with the aim of generating additional revenue income that will be used to protect and invest in local services.
